Tracerline’s advanced, OEM-Grade fluorescent leak detection dyes have been featured on the front cover of ACtion’s March 2019 issue. The 6-page article provides an overview of Tracerline’s highly effective leak detection dyes and the science behind fluorescent leak detection technology. Although the article focuses on finding coolant leaks, it notes that leak detection dyes can be applied to refrigerant leaks, oil, transmission, power steering, and hydraulic system leaks as well.
Corrosion and debris damage can create small holes in radiators. These types of leaks are difficult to diagnose. Pressure tests cannot determine the location of all leaks and very small leaks are often missed by the technician. The leak only becomes apparent when the system begins to fail. If left untreated, the engine could overheat and ultimately cause irreversible damage.
